Essential 3D Printing Tools

A 3D Printer is a fantastic tool, able to create whatever you imagine.

Although it is a tool by itself you also need tools to take care of your loved 3D printer. Here are kits that may save you when it’s time to repair or service!

A 3D Printer is not the most complex machinery, but creating perfect prints from your budget 3D Printer can be complex.

Perfection relies on your ability to setup your gcode and more importantly, to keep your printer in perfect trim.

Making sure your code is in order for your machine and material is one thing, but actually having a clean, leveled buildplate, lubricated parts and good nozzle/hotend is another.

There are many ways on how to unclog a nozzle, clean buildplate and tighten belts, but most of them require some tools.

If you, or your loved one bought a 3D printer, you probably got the bare minimum to assemble it or to adjust some bolts.

But do you actually have the tools to trim filament correctly, scrape the buildplate or remove residue on the nozzle?

Trimming your filament in 45 degress angle is a great way to help your filament through when loading it.

This makes it easier to navigate through all the different openings, bearings/drive gears, sensors and tubes.

No matter if you answer yes or no to the question above, I suggest you look at the essential and premium tool kits from matterhackers for either FDM or resin printers to see if you’re missing something:
