Creality just released the Creality K1C - Their new flagship 3D Printer

The C in Creality K1C stands for Carbon. This Creality K1C 3D Printer aims to provide the best possible foundation to let you 3d print in carbon infused materials such as Carbon reinforced PLA, PETG or even Nylon while remaining affordable.
Among the new features to enable this carbon-theme is a new hardened steel “unicorn” hot-end that is fully sealed all-metal-hotend.
The hotend has an “integrated” heat break, minimizing any risk of leaks. Great for when you’re pushing reinforced filament really fast!
A new AI-camera helps with monitoring, error detection and if course cool time-lapses.
The K1C also gets active carbon filtration to help mitigate some of the smell and particles more complex engineering materials may put off.

The new K1C also improves on the regular Creality K1 by meeting feedback of noise levels. A new “Silent mode” that lowers the noise to around 45db.
The K1C keeps the Creality OS, based on Klipper and open source. The move to open source has been greatly appreciated by the community and one additional reason why the Creality K1 has a swing at the Bambu Lab P1S that we compare in this article.

With the new K1C 3D Printer, Creality seems to be releasing a 2-spool version of their Space Pi Filament Dryer that was itself released just recently itself.
At the time of writing, I can only find information about the 1-spool Pi filament dryer.
It’s priced at $69 and offers drying at 45-70° celsius at up to 48 hours and while printing.
The drier comes with a touch-panel which shows current humidity and temperature. A 360 hot air heating system should make sure you don’t get any hot-spots. It comes with presets for 12 different filament types.
3D Printing faster carbon fiber filament
A new Hyper (high speed) PLA-CF is also introduced which promises Carbon fiber infused PLA printing at up to 300mm/s with a beautiful matte finish and minimal layer textures.

The new K1C is built on the proven K1 3D Printer ecosystem, so we’re not really seeing a ton of features listed. But knowing Creality, there are probably iterations of hardware not “visible” in the technical specifications.

What do I think?
I think there are more “hidden” upgrades underneath the hood that improves on the feedback from some early K1 customers.
The focus on carbon is great, as it’s a simple way for most of us to print more rigid and stronger models. I’m looking forward to seeing people print more PETG-CF or even PA-CF, although PA (nylon) is more difficult.
The PLA-CF looks really interesting if it’s possible to get strong parts from the 300mm/s printing speeds. With PLA, you should have no noticeable warping as well.
I’m hoping to receive a unit for review. If not I might just buy one as this is probably one of the stronger competitors to the Bambu Lab P1S.
